Dove launches the #ShowUs campaign to break down stereotypes about the representation of women and female beauty Dove, together with Getty Images and Girlgaze, created #ShowUs , the largest collection of photographs in the world created by women, genderqueer people and photographers, who identify with the female gender to break down stereotypes about beauty, showing women as they are and not how others believe they should be. Featuring over 5,000 images, #ShowUs was created with the aim of ending the narrow definition of beauty consistently portrayed around the world, setting a new standard for authentic, diverse and inclusive representation of women.

Dove #ShowUs campaign: 70% of women do not feel represented by advertising material The new Dove campaign attempts to respond to a problem that has emerged in recent years, according to which many women do not feel well represented by the photos they see online today. In fact, 70 % of women say they still don't feel well represented in the images they see every day. Despite decades of work by Dove, Getty Images and Girlgaze to liberate women from limiting stereotypes, many images continue to impose unrealistic beauty standards , presenting a narrow view of who women are, what they should look like and what they can achieve. Every day, their lives are influenced by these limitations and stereotypes .
This project was born with the aim of freeing women from all this. Project #ShowUs was created in collaboration with Getty Images , one of the world's leading image creators and distributors, and Girlgaze , a network of 200,000 female-identifying creatives and genderqueer people from around the world. This photography library, with over 5,000 images , is available for media and advertising industries to use in their next project or campaign as early as March 27th this year. Dove invites both creatives and media professionals to join them in redefining the way women are represented in the images we see around us every day; celebrate a more diverse and inclusive portrait of beauty and support the confidence of women around the world by showing them how they want to be seen. #ShowUs: the results obtained from the campaign After a year of work , the collection features over 5,000 photographs.
